Brass RFQs for Shops With Bar-Fed Lathes
Preview each RFQ before you pay for it. Talk to the buyer directly. No commission on the order.
What an RFQ preview looks like
Enough to judge fit and effort. The buyer's name, company and files are released only after you take the lead.

Quote directly
You get the buyer's contact and files and deal with them yourself.
Who qualifies
We keep the list short so buyers get serious quotes and each shop gets requests it can win.
- Brass is normal workYou run C360 or C385 often enough to quote a threaded turned part without guessing.
- Threads and gaugingYou cut NPT, BSPT and metric threads and check them with gauges rather than by eye.
- Honest on lead-freeYou say plainly whether you have actually shipped C69300 or bismuth brass, and whether you can supply certificates.
- Response timeYou reply to buyers within 48 hours.
- ConfidentialityYou sign an NDA when the buyer asks for one.
- Honest quotingYou decline parts you cannot hold rather than quote and miss.

Takes about five minutes. We reply within 24 business hours. You can also email .
Questions shops ask
Is one RFQ sold to many shops?
No. Each RFQ goes to 3 shops at most, and only to shops whose machines, materials and part size fit the request.
How much does a lead cost?
The price sits on every preview, before you decide. It moves with part complexity and order size. You pay only for the leads you take.
What if a lead is not what the preview described?
Tell us within seven days and we check it against the preview we sent you. Wrong contact details or a part that is clearly not what the preview described are settled with you directly while we write the exact remedy into the shop terms.
Do you only send high volume turned work?
No. Brass buyers on this site range from 50 piece prototype runs to repeat annual releases in the tens of thousands. You tell us the quantities you take and we stop sending previews outside that band.
Do I need to run lead-free grades?
No, but say plainly whether you do. Plumbing and gas buyers ask for C69300 or a bismuth brass with a mill certificate, and sending them a shop that only runs C360 wastes everybody a week.

Should a Machine Shop Buy Machining Leads? An Honest Answer
Bought leads are not marketing and not a customer list. The arithmetic that decides whether they work for your shop, and the four shops they never work for.

Quoting Brass Parts: What Machine Shops Get Wrong Most
Brass machines at 100 so it looks easy to quote. The deburring, the gauging and the metal price are where shops lose the margin they thought they had.

Adding Lead-Free Brass as a Machine Shop Capability
C69300 work hardens and threads differently from C360. What actually changes on the floor, what to charge for it and why buyers ask if you have shipped it.

Writing a Machine Shop Capability Profile Buyers Believe
Most capability profiles say the same nine things and prove nothing. What to write instead, and why naming what you cannot do actually wins you more work.
